Oh dear, she’s wearing the same outfit! What a disaster! While donning the same attire to a particular event might be considered a fashion faux pas, wearing the same outfit in public is typically not a big deal for regular folks, right? Well, yes and no!
It can be seen as just another amusing anecdote for ordinary individuals, but when it comes to celebrities stepping out in identical attire as another celebrity, it inevitably leads to the question of who wore it better. We’ve come across a few instances like this, and we’re going to delve into who truly rocked the look the best!
Caitlyn Jenner Vs. Kris Jenner
It’s bad enough when you end up twinning with a friend or a complete stranger, but when it’s your ex, it becomes even more crucial to determine who pulled off the look better.
This scenario unfolded between Caitlyn and Kris Jenner. In early 2020, Kris made an appearance on a popular British TV talk show donning a simple yet elegant black dress with a gold zipper. Eight years prior, Caitlyn had worn the same or a similar dress to a publicity event.
Gigi Hadid Vs. Bella Hadid
Sibling rivalry isn’t an exclusive domain of the Kardashians, as evidenced by the Hadid sisters who seem to enjoy donning the same outfits. It’s a tough call to declare a winner in this case. Both sisters were spotted sporting a Tommy Hilfiger silver puffer coat.
Gigi opted for a ’90s vibe, pairing it with a turtleneck and jeans, while Bella rocked a more athletic look when she wore it a few months later. Admittedly, they both exude stunning style regardless of what they wear.
Miley Cyrus Vs. Harry Styles
Fashion transcends gender boundaries, as demonstrated by Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles who both rocked the same black sequined jumpsuit. At the 2019 Oscar party for Vanity Fair, Cyrus graced the carpet in this stylish ensemble, only for Styles to later don it during his SNL performance.
Interestingly, they even shared similar accessorizing choices. Suffice it to say, both of them pulled off the look effortlessly.
Jameela Jamil Vs. Jonathan Van Ness
Jonathan Van Ness, one of the stars of Queer Eye, caused a sensation at the Netflix Creative Arts Emmy’s afterparty by wearing this stunning fuchsia trapeze dress.
The strapless dress, designed by Rochas, was also worn by British comedic actress Jameela Jamil at a YSL party in late 2019. Jameela admitted on Twitter that Jonathan wore the dress better.
Kim Kardashian West Vs. Winnie Harlow
In a fashion showdown, a member of the Kardashian clan faced off against Winnie Harlow, both flaunting the same green Maisie Wilen dress around town. Kim chose to complement the dress with yellow accents, opting for strappy sandals in the same hue. Similarly, Winnie Harlow picked up on the yellow accent by coordinating her clutch with it. Both ladies showcased their unique styling choices, enhancing the allure of the dress.
Their fashion prowess was evident as they effortlessly pulled off the look, proving that neither of them detracted from the dress’s appeal. Instead, they both elevated its chic aesthetic, leaving an impression of sheer elegance wherever they went. Ultimately, it’s clear that both Kim and Winnie Harlow confidently owned their individual interpretations of the dress, demonstrating their impeccable sense of style.
Brooke Burke Vs. Sofia Vergara
In today’s celebrity landscape, it’s become routine for stars to launch their own fashion lines, and what better way to garner free publicity than by wearing their own designs in public? Sofia Vergara exemplified this strategy when she stepped out in a stylish cut midi dress from her own Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara collection.
Not long after, Brooke Burke was seen sporting the same dress while attending a meeting. This instance highlights the trend of celebrities promoting their own fashion lines by personally showcasing the designs in everyday settings, effectively merging their personal brand with their entrepreneurial ventures for maximum exposure and impact.
Victoria Beckham Vs. Megan Markle
In the world of fashion, even pregnancy doesn’t exempt celebrities from comparisons of who wore an outfit better. When Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham were spotted wearing the same dress, comparisons were inevitable. Despite Meghan’s pregnancy, all bets were off. Both opted for colored accents, though Posh Spice’s accent was slightly brighter.
The incident underscores the intense scrutiny and competition in the celebrity fashion sphere, where even minor style details are subject to analysis and comparison. Despite their different circumstances, Meghan and Victoria’s fashion choices ignited discussions and debates, highlighting the fascination with celebrity style and the endless quest to determine who reigns supreme in the world of fashion.
Zendaya Vs. Gwyneth Paltrow

In early 2020, she turned heads at an awards ceremony by donning a Tom Ford metallic breastplate. Surprisingly, the same piece had been worn by Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar just a month later.

Not to be outshone, a few months later, Khloe sported the same swimsuit during her own trip, also sharing a snapshot on Instagram. This instance underscores the trend of sibling fashion rivalry within the Kardashian/Jenner household, where each sister puts her own spin on shared wardrobe pieces, captivating fans with their individual styles.
Kristina Schulman Vs. Danielle Lombard
The Bachelor franchise has produced numerous notable alumni who have carved out significant careers. At a particular party, two of these alumni found themselves wearing the same dress. While this situation could have been embarrassing, both individuals managed to make it work in their own unique ways.

Their differing styling choices exemplify their individual personalities and fashion sensibilities, demonstrating that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to rocking the same outfit.

The Kardashian sisters are undeniably fierce, and this sentiment holds true in this scenario. Both Kim and Kourtney opted to flaunt the same tiger-printed Roberto Cavalli dress. Kim donned it initially, followed by her elder sibling a few months later, aiming to put her own spin on it.
The question of which sibling wore it better remains subjective and lies solely with them. Hopefully, this fashion overlap doesn’t spark any sibling rivalry or lead to another heated exchange between them.
Rihanna Vs. Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid made a bold statement on the runway with a checkerboard cape and shorts pairing, exuding confidence and style. However, a few months later, another star took the ensemble to new heights. This instance highlights how personal style and individual circumstances can influence the perception of a particular outfit.
Travis Scott Vs. Kanye West

Both rappers possess a keen understanding of how to make a statement in the world of fashion, leaving their distinct marks on every outfit they wear.
Zendaya Vs. Timothee Chalamet
The stars of Euphoria often share a similar style, especially on the red carpet. Zendaya set the tone a few years back by donning a stunning fuchsia Christian Siriano suit to a Humane Society event. Tracee opted for a business chic approach, while Jackie infused her own unique flair into the ensemble. Despite their different styling choices, both women effortlessly rocked the skirt, showcasing their individual interpretations of high fashion and proving that there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to who wore it best.

Olivia Munn Vs. Mary J. Blige

Mary J. rocked hers at the Essence Festival, complementing it with matching peep-toe pumps for a sophisticated look. In contrast, Olivia opted for a more relaxed vibe. Despite their differing styles, the jumpsuit exuded elegance on both of these stunning ladies, showcasing the versatility of the Fendi design and their impeccable fashion sensibilities.
Demi Lovato Vs. Whoopi Goldberg
It’s unclear whether Whoopi Goldberg inspired Demi Lovato, but both certainly made a statement on the red carpet in a cheetah print Dior gown. Goldberg donned the gown at the 2009 Oscars, while Lovato opted for it nine years later at the Billboard Music Awards.
While there are differences between their interpretations – one accessorized with a belt and showed off some leg through a slit, while the other opted for a more covered-up look – neither approach was wrong, and both exuded a sense of fun and style.

Emma Roberts Vs. Alessandra Ambrosio
Both of these young celebrities decided to express their support for women’s rights and empowerment by pairing a comfy t-shirt with denim. While the style leaned towards everyday wear rather than chic, both Roberts and Ambrosio personalized the shirt by pairing it with different types of denim.

Kendall Jenner vs. Rita Ora
This tunic-style dress makes a bold statement with its monochromatic black and white design. The deep V-neckline adds an element of daring while remaining conservative enough to be worn without anything underneath, as Kendall opted to do. Alternatively, you can add a layer underneath, as Rita did.
Kendall kept her look simple with a straight hairstyle and minimal accessories, letting the dress speak for itself. In contrast, Rita paired a fishnet-style shirt underneath the tunic, along with fishnet stockings. Bold makeup and braids completed her edgy look, adding extra flair to the ensemble.

In contrast, Gwen embraced a more classic vibe with pumps and adorned her look with plenty of silver bangles, infusing her signature edgy flair. Ultimately, both women showcased their fashion prowess, making it challenging to declare a clear winner in this stylish dress.
Rosamund Pike vs. Meghan Markle
The Duchess certainly possesses an impeccable sense of style, as evidenced by her choice of this Emilia Wickstead button-down dress. Opting for the black version, she accessorized with a charming hat and pocketbook, perfect for a royal occasion. Conversely, Rosamund Pike opted for the white version of the dress, sans accessories.
Both dresses exude a springtime aesthetic and accentuate a smaller waist, thanks to the button-down design. The abundance of buttons down the front adds an extra touch of elegance to the ensemble. With their monochromatic twins, it’s undoubtedly challenging to determine who wore it best, as both women effortlessly exude grace and sophistication in their respective outfits.
Jennifer Lopez vs. Kris Jenner
In this attention-grabbing dress, all eyes are sure to be on you. The high neck, long sleeves, and floor-length skirt give it a conservative vibe, but the slit up the side and the glittery embellishments ensure you’ll stand out. Both Kris Jenner and Jennifer Lopez embraced the spotlight in this dress. J Lo opted for an intricate updo and simple stone earrings, allowing the dress to take center stage.
In contrast, Kris opted for more glitzy jewelry, including rings and bracelets, and kept her short hair styled in a simpler fashion. Despite their differing approaches to accessorizing, both women exuded confidence and elegance, showcasing their individual styles while commanding attention in the stunning dress.
Miley Cyrus vs. Lena Dunham
Between Miley Cyrus and Lena Dunham, this pantsuit undoubtedly leaves a lasting impression. While Miley opted for a slightly baggy style, Lena went with a more fitted look, yet both effortlessly rocked the casual “hands in the pockets” routine for photos
The all-black pantsuit itself is slimming and bold, but it’s the white stripe across the top that truly elevates it. Both celebrities opted for minimal jewelry, with Miley wearing only a single bracelet on each wrist for the occasion. Their understated accessories allowed the sleek design of the pantsuit to take center stage, showcasing their effortless yet chic sense of style.
Tracee Ellis Ross vs. Jackie Aina
This distinctive black skirt certainly makes a statement with its versatile color and woven design, adding a touch of style to any outfit. Tracee opted for a coordinated all-black ensemble, pairing the skirt with a black top and jacket, accessorized with a gold necklace and clutch.
Conversely, Jackie opted for a slightly more professional look by pairing the skirt with a tucked-in black dress shirt, complemented by a statement bag. Despite their differing styling choices, both women exuded elegance and sophistication in their all-black ensembles, showcasing the sleek and stunning versatility of the skirt.

This mauve-colored dress boasts casual straps, a straight neckline, a cinched waist, and a slightly full (but short) skirt, making it versatile for both events and casual outings. Saldana and Kim both demonstrated its adaptability by wearing it to different occasions.
They paired the dress with classic pumps featuring a hint of strappiness, adding a touch of sophistication to their looks. Their long dark hair complemented the dress’s style, particularly as it bared their shoulders, allowing them to showcase their beautiful locks. It’s no wonder they opted to highlight their great hair while rocking this chic dress.
Reese Witherspoon vs. Paula Abdul
This playful take on a schoolgirl or perhaps a nun’s habit outfit adds a touch of fun and uniqueness. The black dress with white accents creates its own distinctive style, which is why both Reese and Paula opted for simple accessories. Reese complemented the dress with pearl and gold earrings, while Paula added a bit of edge with fishnet-style stockings.
The end result is a somewhat demure dress with a hint of edgy vibe, reflecting each woman’s individual style. Regardless of the occasion, this dress undoubtedly makes a lasting impression, showcasing its versatility and ability to adapt to different personal styles.
Shakira vs. Pink
Both Pink and Shakira confidently rocked the same dress at the MTV Awards, showcasing their individual styles with flair. The leather look dress exudes a unique vibe, featuring a short, strapless, and fitted style that perfectly accentuates their personal tastes.
Pink opted to pair the dress with pumps, while Shakira went for tall black boots to complete her look. This edgy ensemble is perfectly suited for the MTV Awards and wouldn’t look out of place in a nightclub either. Additionally, it pairs exceptionally well with Pink’s short punk hairstyle and Shakira’s long, messy waves, adding an extra layer of style and attitude to their overall looks.
Lady Gaga vs. Beyonce
Lady Gaga and Beyoncé both opted for the same sheer red dress, but each interpreted it in their own way. Lady Gaga paired a black bodysuit under the sheer dress, while Beyoncé chose an all-red ensemble.
Lady Gaga went for a more severe look with her hair pulled back, small sunglasses, and hoop earrings. She completed her outfit with chunky boots and stockings. On the other hand, Beyoncé showcased her signature curls cascading down her shoulders, paired with sunglasses and strappy silver heels.
Miley Cyrus vs. Taraji Henson
The little black dress is a timeless staple in any wardrobe, and Miley and Taraji took it to the next level with this dress. The sleek black design exudes style, while the cutouts add an enticing element to the ensemble.
Miley complemented the floor-length gown with a slicked-back, short hairstyle, adding a touch of sophistication to her look. Conversely, Taraji opted to keep her long, dark hair cascading around her shoulders, beautifully highlighting both the dress and her curls at the same time.
Kate Middleton vs. Drew Barrymore
These two celebrities share a commonality with their auburn hair and similar fashion taste. While Drew opted for a plain dress, the Duchess chose to accessorize with cute earrings and a shawl for added warmth.
The vibrant colors of the dress ensure it captures just the right amount of attention, and the slit down the front adds a playful peek-a-boo element while maintaining a conservative appearance suitable for an audience with the Queen or any other occasion.
J-Lo Vs. Shakira
Few celebrities can rival the style icon status of J-Lo, but at the 2020 Super Bowl, Shakira certainly gave it her all. While not identical, their outfits had enough similarities to draw comparisons.
J-Lo stunned in a silver Versace fringe jumpsuit, while Shakira, the Colombian hip-shaker, chose a gold option. Both rocked their respective looks, so why not call it a draw?
Meghan Markle Vs. Lupita Nyong’ o
Competing with the stunning beauty of Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is no easy feat, but the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, decided to give it a try. At a music festival in March 2020, Meghan Markle dazzled in a beautiful red caped dress designed by Safiyaa.
The dress bore striking similarities to one worn by Lupita in 2014, albeit designed by Ralph Lauren. Despite the designer difference, the lines and shape of Meghan’s dress were similar enough to stir some comparisons.
Emily Ratajkowski Vs. Gigi Hadid
The Tony Awards provide the perfect opportunity to showcase the latest additions to one’s wardrobe, and nothing exudes elegance quite like an elegant black dress. Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski certainly thought so when she rocked this number at the event.
However, it’s worth noting that the dress had previously graced the runways of the 2019 spring and summer lines, where it was worn by none other than Gigi Hadid. Gigi undoubtedly did a commendable job in styling the dress, but Emily held her own and made a stunning impression as well.
Beth Stern Vs. Molly Sims
Some may not initially perceive cat print as a fashionable choice, questioning its stylishness. However, when worn by the right individual, a dress adorned with cats all over it can surprisingly exude chicness.
This was evident with a midi dress donned by both Molly Sims and Beth Stern. While both chose to accessorize it differently, they both emerged as fashion winners, showcasing how personal style can elevate any outfit, regardless of the print or design.
Kim Kardashian West Vs. Kylie Jenner
Sisters often share closets, but it appears there’s a rotation happening among the Kardashian/Jenner sisters. They’ve made multiple appearances on this list already.
This time, it’s a faceoff between Kim and Kylie. Both were spotted wearing a very cute halter top from Charlotte Knowles. Kim showcased her look on Instagram, while later that evening, Kylie hit the streets in the same top for a fun evening out.
Princess Diana vs. Queen Camilla
While Princess Diana and Queen Camilla may share a love for this dress, they do not share the same level of public affection. Given their differing reputations, it’s likely that Diana’s version of this outfit was well-received, while Camilla’s was met with more criticism.
Nonetheless, both ladies look fantastic in the dress. However, if one were to choose, Diana’s neckline is particularly striking. And for anyone questioning the similarity of their looks, a glance at their necklaces would dispel any doubts.
Kate Middleton vs. Meghan Markle
While some may seize any opportunity to criticize Meghan Markle, it’s clear that these dresses aren’t similar enough to suggest she was copying Kate Middleton. Both dresses happen to be yellow, but the similarities end there.
That being said, if we’re asked to choose a favorite, Middleton’s figure-hugging look wins out over Markle’s dress, which doesn’t seem to flatter her as much. Additionally, we appreciate the flowy sleeves on Kate’s dress. Sorry, Meghan, better luck next time!
Kate Middleton vs. Meghan Markle – Again
While both ladies look absolutely fantastic in this red frock, we have to declare Meghan Markle as the winner here. Her dress’s neckline is much more flattering than Kate Middleton’s harsh alternative. Furthermore, we appreciate that Markle broke up the color a bit with her accessories.
That said, we wouldn’t necessarily pair a black purse with nude shoes – we’d opt for one color or the other for both accessories. Despite this minor critique, we still prefer Markle’s look over Middleton’s all-red ensemble.
