Robin Williams, a comedian and actor, who was already a household name in the 1970s would be a regular on the scene of Studio 54. He would take his dates to the club. Heavyweight boxing champion Muhammed Ali was a regular at Studio 54. It was not uncommon to see many of different genres of superstardom mingling together at the club. The 1970s would prove to be rough in America. That is, it was rough for people both politically and economically. Fashion icons of the 1970s, like Grace Jones, would always bring a sense of style to Studio 54. There were many waiting to see what type of bizarre outfit someone like Jones would be wearing to the nightclub every time she showed up. She was often photographed in the iconic fashion designs.

Studio 54 attracted many celebrities of the ’70s. The leading ladies of Hollywood and Washington, DC were no exception. Many times, they would congregate together and talk about who knows what. Besides drawing large crowds of people hoping to be lucky enough to get in, Studio 54 was known for its stage. Those who were lucky enough to get in, hovered around the stage inside. They did so in hopes that they would soon be rubbing elbows with someone famous that frequented the club.

Studio 54 was famous for attracting large numbers of celebrities. On any given night you would find the likes of the world’s most famous people. These are people like Rod Stewart and Tina Turner. 20. To Wild Horses
Every night at Studio 54 would yield many new things. Some nights there were white doves and others there were wild horses. The celebrities would be the only ones permitted to get atop such an animal at the famous nightclub. They would ride the horses around the club as if they were at home.

Studio 54 was famous for many things. What they were most famous for was how celebrities could kick back and relax, and not worry about being mobbed by their fans. From the likes of St. Jacques and the Jaggers, celebrities from around the world would come to the club and let their hair down.

Three’s Company star Suzanne Summers gained fame when the show reached its peak. Summers and her husband also had access to Studio 54. They became regulars. Suzanne Summers is not too much into acting today, she has become an accomplished author. Summers knows that three can be a crowd and often was seen at the club only with her husband.
23. Extra Large Capacity
Studio 54 was created from an old movie theater. It had the ability to accommodate 1,000 people. Even if the club were jam packed, there would still be a line of potential patrons waiting outside for a chance to gain entrance. The nightclub was so popular among the common folk that they would come from all around the US to wait in line.

25. Elizabeth Taylor’s Birthday Bash
Elizabeth Taylor was a superstar known for her beauty. She became a regular at Studio 54. One year, Taylor decided to celebrate her birthday with all the celebrities and fans available at the nightclub. Taylor brought an extra-large cake with her likeness. She had a wonderful time with friends and fans alike.
26. Much Fancy Tulle
If you were a celebrity in the ’70s, you would have no problem getting into Studio 54. For the general public, though, they had to stand out in the crowd. Shirley Bassey was among the regulars at Studio 54. By the end of the ’70s, Bassey had released an impressive 18 albums. Called Dame Bassey because in 1999, the Queen of England anointed her a Dame. Streisand is certainly an entertainment legend. Her work as a singer and actress has given her many awards. These awards include Grammys, Oscars, Emmys, and more. Barbara was a regular at Studio 54. When she showed up, she often brought the person she was in a relationship with.
30. The Queens of the Club
The nightclub was a tolerant place. Many members of the LGBT community were often present at Studio 54. The club had a pair of drag queens perform regularly. It was known as a haven for those to be themselves and not have to worry about others who did not like those in this community.

Brooke Shields, a teenager in the 1970s, would become a regular face at Studio 54. Shields was an actress and model from a young age. After Pretty Baby at age 12, Brooke became a household name. She would later go on to become the face of the Calvin Klein label.

Studio 54 was a club people wanted to go to because they could let their hair down and do as they want. No one would be judgmental to them for doing as they wished. Actress and model Debbie Dickinson would often be seen at the club. Her favorite spot was the dancefloor.

A club known for its elite crowd; royalty was no exception. A regular at Studio 54 was Diane van Furstenberg. After marrying and then splitting with Prince Egon van Furstenberg, Diane kept the name. She went on to become a famous fashion designer. Diane was a regular at the nightclub.
