According to the royal rule, the Cambridge Duchess can only apply the natural and subtle tones. As a result, princess Middleton is only seen wearing two shades: Nude 423 Allure by Essie and Soft Pink 28 Rose Lounge by Bourjois.  Queen Elizabeth’s favorite nail enamel is Ballet Slippers by Essie, and she has been wearing this iconic nail polish shade since 1989.

The royal protocol is that whenever a royal family member goes on a tour abroad, they must pack the black suits in their luggage.

This rule was enacted when in 1952, King George VI died while Queen Elizabeth II was on her journey through Africa and she did not have any black dress in her luggage and had to return to England in an unsuitable dress. The royal historian Hugo Vickers said that Queen has some secret signals, and all her staff and Princess Kate have to be attentive to decipher the signals. Some of her signals are: when Queen wants to leave the dinner within five minutes, she puts her bag on the table, and when she shifts her bag from one arm to another, she is tired of the conversation.

Image: IMAGO / Paul Marriott

As shown in the Disney movies, the Prince passes by a village, sees a pretty villager girl, and decided to marry her, and then after going through some hurdles, the poor beautiful girl becomes Princess. All this can only happen in the movies only because the reality is different from it.

According to the wedding Act of 1722, the first six people in the line of succession need permission to marry if they and their descendants remain in the line of succession.  So Kate could not marry without the approval of Prince William’s family. We wonder how the world looks if the royal family did not accept Princess Kate.

25. She cannot express her political views in public

Image: IMAGO / i Images

We cannot recall any event where we hear Princess Kate expressing her political views in public. It is because that the Duchess of Cambridge cannot only Vote, but she has to remain neutral and do not talk about politics in public as not to damage the royal family’s respect.

Image: Imago / i Images

This rule is not just for the Duchess of Cambridge, but all the royal family’s women must maintain a clean image. Of course, in the modern age, talking about the image related to the clothing feels awkward and derogatory, but the royals are still respectful of their ancient rules.

Princess Kate must not wear bold patterns and vibrant color dresses. She is not allowed to wear provocative and showing her cleavage. The Duchess of Cambridge is a public figure, and she accompanies her husband, Prince William, on most of his overseas visits. For that, there is a requirement that the Princess must be well versed with the culture of the countries she visits.

Before she goes on an overseas visit, her team briefs her about the history of the places she intends to visit. But there are speculations that if the royal couple stops at the third, or they will have another kid to continuing the tradition.

Kate Middleton’s sitting style “Duchess Slant” is world-famous. She sits with her knees and ankles kept tightly together and slanting her legs to one side. This sitting posture makes the legs look longer. Princess Diana also used to sit like this on public engagement, and Meghan also adopted this style after becoming a royal family member.

Image: Imago / i Images

The royal rules are not only applied to Kate’s posture and dressing, but they also apply to how she holds a cup of tea. Whoo! she must be living a very tough life. However, the British love their tea time, and if they want to have a cup of it, they do it the right way.

40. The Queen must be informed before everyone else

Image: Imago / Matrix

There are so many rules and regulations regarding the birth of a royal baby. One such rule is that the first to know about the new member of the royal family is Queen, no matter what the circumstances are. So when Prince George was born, Prince William informed the Queen on an encrypted call.

an official statement released after the birth of Archie said, “the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Princess Diana’s siblings Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news, about the birth of Archie.”

Image: Imago / PA Images

Princess Kate must follow some strict etiquette rules when she is in the company of the royals. One such rule is that she must enter the room in order.  All the royals enter the room by precedence, and the seating order is also according to this rule.

Image: Imago / Mary Evans

You say ‘Excuse me’ when you want to politely get someone’s attention, Another rule that Princess Kate has to follow is whenever she needs to use the restroom during dinner; she is supposed to say, “Excuse me.”  it is one sensible rule, and we think there is no need to make a fuss out. According to us, everyone should adopt this royal rule because no one on the dinner table is ever interested to know that you are going to ding or relieve your bladder.

We believe that it is very rude to announce that you will hit the bathroom while someone is having their meal.

45. She should not remove her coat

Image: IMAGO / PA Images

You will never see Princess Kate removing her coat in public, and it is not because she might be feeling cold. On the contrary, even if she feels hot, the royal traditions do not allow her to remove it in public. It is because, according to the royal traditions, it is very unladylike, and all the royals must respect the royal family traditions.

Image: Imago / PA Images

Nowadays, many celebrities throw baby showers, but Princess Kate is not allowed to have one. She even had not any celebrations when she was pregnant with her first baby, Prince George. We think that Princess Kate might never care about not having a baby shower because these things are considered “American.”

Typically the British women wait for they give birth to the baby, and after that, they celebrate it with their friends and families. However, there are rumors that Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa Middleton throws a secret baby shower for her sister in 2013, but they are far from the truth and are just rumors.

All her three pregnancies, Princess Kate, abide by this rule, and she did not let any negative comment about the pregnancy that would make media frenzy over it. Their engagement was to the public on 16th November 2010 through a formal press briefing. The whole world was delighted to hear about the royal engagement.

Princess Kate was wearing the famous royal blue dress by Iabel Issa, and after that, it was hard for Iabel to keep this dress in stock.  It was undoubtedly the start of the “the Duchess Effect,” The world goes frenzy on almost everything Kate wears.
