7. Use Bars of Soap in your Garden
Collect these strong-smelling bars of soap and place them in a mesh bag or old pantyhose that you can easily hang from trees in or around your yard. Deer and other animals tend to avoid areas where the soap is. What you can also do is keeping mice away. How? That’s easy, just place bars of soap in areas where you want them to avoid.
Scattering soap shavings around the garden should also help deter a number of pests. Why not making your own insecticidal soap from old discarded soap bars? This is also a way to save money and its very easy as well.
